Router WiFi Modules

ByteRFly offer various wifi modules, wifi antennas and other wirless products. The Wi-Fi module, also known as the serial port Wi-Fi module, belongs to the Internet of Things transport layer. Its function is to convert the serial port or TTL level into an embedded module that conforms to the Wi-Fi wireless network communication standard. The built-in wireless network protocol IEEE802.11b.g.n Protocol stack and TCP/IP protocol stack. Traditional hardware devices embedded in Wi-Fi modules can directly use Wi-Fi to connect to the Internet.

Generally, usb dongle wifi module support linux and windows system. Just need to install Corresponding drvier into PC.
Regarding router wifi modules, it`s like a small head of a wireless products, Development difficulty is relatively high. OpenWRT,Widora and Linux System are supported.
IoT AP wifi module means the module`s power consumption is lower than other router wifi modules.

The main function:
The Wifi module includes two types of topological forms: basic network (Infra) and ad hoc network (Adhoc). It is the creator of a wireless network and the central node of the network. A wireless router used in a general home or office is an AP. 1.AP: also known as wireless access point, is the creator of a wireless network and the central node of the network. A wireless router used in a general home or office is an AP. 2: STA site, each terminal connected to the wireless network (such as notebook computers, PDAs and other user equipment that can be networked) can be called a site.
Basic wireless network (Infra) based on AP: Infra: also known as basic network, is a wireless network created by AP and joined by many STAs. The characteristic of this type of network is that AP is the center of the entire network. All communications are forwarded through the AP.
2.Adhoc-based wireless network (Adhoc): Adhoc: also known as ad-hoc network, is composed of only two or more STAs themselves, there is no AP in the network, this type of network is a loose structure , all STAs in the network can communicate directly.

3. Security mechanism: This module supports a variety of wireless network encryption methods, which can fully guarantee the secure transmission of user data, including: WEP64/WEP128/TKIP/CCMP(AES) WEP/WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK.

4. Fast networking: This module supports fast networking by specifying the channel number. In the usual wireless networking process, all current channels are automatically scanned once to search for the (or Adhoc) network created by the destination AP to be connected. This module provides parameters for setting the working channel. Under the condition of knowing the channel where the destination network is located, you can directly specify the working channel of the module, so as to achieve the purpose of speeding up the networking speed.

5. Address binding: This module supports the function of binding the BSSID address of the destination network during the networking process. According to the 802.11 protocol, different wireless networks can have the same network name (ie SSID/ESSID), but must correspond to a unique BSSID address. An illegal intruder can make the STA in the network connect to an illegal AP by establishing a wireless network with the same SSID/ESSID, thereby causing network leakage. By binding the BSSID address, the STA can be prevented from accessing an illegal network, thereby improving the security of the wireless network.

6. Wireless roaming: This module supports the wireless roaming function based on the 802.11 protocol. Wireless roaming means that in order to expand the coverage of a wireless network, multiple APs jointly create a wireless network with the same SSID/ESSID. Each AP is used to cover different areas. STAs accessing the network can The AP with the strongest selection signal at the location accesses it, and automatically switches between different APs as the STA moves.

7. Flexible parameter configuration:
